Horizontal Push Progressions

Pressing movements form a key part of developing an athlete and instead of jumping straight into the generic bench press, we are a huge fan of press-up progressions!

We find these to be much friendlier on the shoulder and are much more appropriate for athletes looking to produce horizontal pushing force.

Fantastic for shoulder stability and for teaching the shoulder blade to move on the rib cage. As we progress, there is also an awesome trunk anti-extension and anti-rotation challenge.
